#4 My list of Fantasies - Part 1 (My Hometown's Future and What to Do on a Vacation)

Last night I wrote a diary entitled #4 Overthinking as a Bad Habit and the Letter to the Greek Guy. But I decide not to publish it. Why? Overthinking again. Lol I wish someone out there would tell me SHOW IT TO ME!!!

Anyway, will write about something else. 

Today, I will go back to my hometown after I meet a guy friend and give him the personal letter and a present for his graduation. :-) Before all those, let me write the following: 

From the moment that you wake up from sleep, what is the first thing that comes up in your mind? Do you think of what you want to do for the rest of the day? For the rest of year? For the rest of your life? Your dream?

For me, I don't have what you call as "dream." Because dream means to want something very much that you plan for it in a very detailed manner and making sure there are no loose ends, right? Mine is just fantasy which I just forget sometimes. But you know when I fantasize it, my brain becomes very active. 

Occasionally, I would think of establishing business in my hometown. For example, a farm where we harvest and sell cacaos (it's good for chocolate) and mangoes, and have fish pond or lake. And after that and when I get very rich, I would put up a movie theater in my hometown where movies from around the world are played (it's good for introducing various kinds of culture to the people and I would also contribute in the list of movies to watch). Next would be establishing a big library where people can enter it for free and I would help in book recommendation (I would include literatures from around the world and different language books, etc.). Of course with this, I have to work closely together with the mayor of our hometown, the head of school and the head of the church and make many events where people gather. I will be the person to make the schedule of events and occasionally act as the host. Of course, I will always help in the planning process. With this achievement, news will spread and more people will come to our hometown. Then our hometown will become a very big city because everything grows. Foreigners will want to invest their businesses here and I'm imagining that maybe even my foreign friends I met during college years will come. Everyday of my life will be meeting, talking, and planning for the future with different kinds of people.

But of course there are some days which you have to spend for yourself. 

The following are some things I want to experience: 

1) Help the fireman to put out fire in the neighborhood

2) be interviewed by TV reporters and explain in detailed manner the event

3) Catch fish and dive underwater to get shells or pearls

4) Hunt wild boars, kill birds and eat with natives

5) Roast pig and eat with natives

6) Look for wood and cut it with an ax. 

7) Build a hut in the mountain

8) Go to cave and collect treasure or precious stones 

9) Fish in the river or sea and catch many fishes

10) Cook worms/frogs (for survival)

11) Cook herbs

12) Save someone from drowning by swimming or CPR

13) Harvest rice from fields and cook it with natives

14) Get and eat snake

15) Climb a coconut and open it

16) Collect ants, cook and eat them

17) Go to Siquijor and search for Manananggal (a kind of witch) and interview him or her

18) Try different kinds of jobs to gain experiences: factory worker for fruits, waitress, cashier, assistant to farmer, or jobs among common people

19) See the life of criminals, prostitutes and directors (interview them)

20) Talk with Korina Sanchez and Kris Aquino

21) Be featured in Rated K and MMK

22) Help police in hostage or kidnap case

23) Teach children in the mountain and cross rocky river together

24) Bike to the mountains with group 

There are still many things to do (I will list it next time). It seems so easy to fantasize. But doing it will be harder. I wish to do many things with my friends. Unfortunately, none of them is as ambitious as I am. And they don't want to take much responsibility because they'd like to stick to their family, their current friends, and what they currently enjoy to do. Even when the list above doesn't require a lot of money to enjoy, still what they lack is time, dedication, and guts to do different things.

If family can't, friends can't, then what about doing these with a man who likes me? Ohh That would be interesting. Next I will write about my fantasies concerning man.
